Bone Broth Recipe

Bone Broth Recipe

chiropractic care for sciatica and back pain

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds (or more) of bones from a healthy source
  • 16 cups water
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • 1 Tbsp. or more of salt

You'll also need a large crock pot to cook the broth in and a strainer to remove the pieces when it is done.

Directions:

Place the bones in a large crock pot. Pour water over the bones and add the vinegar. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes in the cool water. The acid helps make the nutrients in the bones more available. Rough chop and add the vegetables, salt, and herbs. Cook on low for 24 hours. Strain off bones and vegetables. Place broth in glass jar and refrigerate if not using right away for up to three days or place in freezer zipper bags and freeze for up to six months.
