LAYING THE FOUNDATION

What to expect when you first visit our office.

Chiropractic care is like building a house: certain things have to happen in a particular order to ensure everything will stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care . . .

Phase 1: Relieving Acute Symptoms

During this phase we focus on relief for your most pressing symptoms. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to need care 2-3 times per week for 2-6 weeks.

Phase 2: Correcting the Cause of the Problem

During the corrective care phase we focus on the root cause of your problem to better ensure that your symptoms do not return. This is important for your body to heal and for you to regain your life. It is typical to need care 2-4 times per month for 1-6 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem.

Phase 3: Maintenance

Once your body has fully healed, it is important to maintain your progress to avoid reoccurring problems in the future. This is designed to keep you from losing the progress you have already made.

Patient Forms

Upon entering our office, Sarah will welcome you as a member of our family. We require that your new patient forms be completed and ready when you arrive. These forms provide us with your health history and information on your condition. We also require all patients to view our “What Makes Us Unique” video prior to the initial consultation. It is preferred that any additional imaging, test or labs be brought into our office at this time to better assist the doctors in determining treatment protocols and additional testing.
